I really like how this invitation came out! Designed by Sugar Paper , I think it has just the right amount of playfulness and sparkle to set the mood for a Year's Eve wedding celebration. The foil stamped dots remind me of confetti. I was excited to have the opportunity to do a new, more contemporary variation of copperplate calligraphy.

The funny thing is, you were on my mind this morning, while I was going through my art stuff...wondering how you are and what wonderful things you've been up to, and now, I check my blog.....and YOU POSTED another one of your amazing creations!! what an inspiration!! I must also add, how fun for someone to be getting married on New Years Eve!! Do the envelopes have a little bit of the confetti looking printing as well???
ReplyDeleteThank you Rena for thinking of me and for your comment on this invite! The envelope was plain white, might've had gold lining, and I addressed it with the same calligraphy style. Wish I had been invited!
ReplyDeleteThe copperplate style that you used is delightful. It seems like the letters are moving about on the dance floor at the wedding!
ReplyDeleteThanks Claire! I love your analogy of the letters to the dance floor : )
ReplyDeleteIt is a very elegant invitation, and your lettering is fabulous Lisa!!! Love the script you created.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I'm glad your enjoying your creations.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad you didn't ignore your passion for Kinta...yummmmmmm!
